The flowers are so pretty. They even match the blouse I'm wearing, and I smile as I bring them close to my face. Mums. I can't look up just yet and I have to close my eyes.
I remember when you first came to the school, with your wind-combed hair and your smart mouth and a crush on Miss Pryde so big that it practically floated next to you and did a sexy dance. I wanted to punch you every time you watched her walk by. Sometimes I did, and then you'd notice me and smile a smile that broke my heart.
He should have noticed me. I should have been able to stop him.
If I'd lost my armor, I wouldn't care. I would have been relieved. But you lost the sky and I didn't know what to say.
I put the flowers by your grave and smile through my tears.
Big dummy. You wouldn't have listened to me anyway.
