Sweet mother of pearl...

Those who have read my darksmut or done any darker RP with me know that when I write or RP hurt/comfort, the "hurt" part of it tends to be lovingly described and detailed with painful accuracy. The comfort tends to be merely an afterthought, something to happen after the victim has been sufficiently broken and left to remain in a fetal ball for a while.
I realize that that's not really everyone's cuppa tea. It's why I have a darksmut filter on this journal (that I have yet to use), and why, when I feel the urge to do something, I usually end up writing it solo, or finding RP partners outside my usual circle of players. It's not fair to anyone to ask them to do anything like that for me.
Even when I do seek out alternate RP partners, the ones with "non-consensual OK!" in their character's information, I don't tend to find people who will push the right buttons when I play the victim. The ones I tend to find think that non-con means, "It starts as non-con but she ends up liking it!" and most of the time that's not what I'm looking for (the one exception being a character that does indeed get off on being used and abused, but her issues aren't typical).
Because of this, I often end up having to play the attacker, just to push the buttons somehow. I have two characters in Tapestries that are made for it, and I can often manipulate one of my other non-Taps pups into something dark and dangerous (and have) to play the same.
Every now and then, however, I find someone who does understand that particular itch, and will degrade and debase my characters until they're left in that weeping fetal ball. To those players who have done so, I offer internet virgin sacrifices and my deepest RP gratitude.
From the bottom of my twisted little heart, I thank you.
